Responsibilities
Act as the senior technical authority for high‑risk aeromechanical, structural, and thermal design challenges, ensuring airworthiness and system integrity for production release
Define and maintain long‑term aeromechanical engineering standards, architectures, and roadmaps to support scalability and future technology insertion
Provide broad technical oversight across multiple engineering disciplines, guiding design and development activities
Lead and develop a large, multi‑site engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development while addressing performance issues when needed
Drive execution excellence across the full product development lifecycle—from concept through production—ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery
Break down complex projects into functional disciplines and subsystems, creating clear design and development plans
Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and best practices
Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment, communication, and successful program execution
Additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, Abaqus, Star‑CCM+, Jira, and Fusion
10+ years of relevant aeromechanical or mechanical engineering experience in fast‑paced product development environments
4–6+ years of leadership experience managing large technical teams
5+ years of experience with airworthiness‑related mechanical requirements
Preferred
Advanced degree (MS or MBA) strongly preferred
