Assistant Project Engineer - Traffic
Responsibilities
This position is focused on traffic engineering including modeling, safety and operational studies, and technical report writing under direct supervision of the Traffic Engineer, with involvement in all aspects of Engineering Department tasks
Qualification
Required
Project management and organizational skills
Communication and teamwork
Problem-solving and critical thinking
General computer literacy including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, field manager, and an aptitude for learning new software
A valid Michigan Driver's License
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
Transportation interest/focus
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completion with a track to obtain the Michigan registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
Density Certification
Stormwater Operator Certification
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level I
MCA/ACI Concrete Testing Levels I & II
HMA Level I
MDOT Office Technician Certification
FHWA Safety inspection of in-service bridges certification
