Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day engineering support for reactors, distillation systems, filtration units, pumps, centrifuges, storage tanks, scrubbers, and related processing equipment
Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve throughput, yields, cycle times, and product quality
Perform material balances, verify yields, and analyze production data for trends and improvement opportunities
Partner with Maintenance to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs
Ensure operators are trained to perform routine equipment inspections and report abnormalities
Identify equipment reliability issues and support long-term corrective actions to reduce downtime
Supervise plant operators to ensure safe, compliant, and consistent production execution
Manage shift schedules, daily staffing, and cross-functional coordination
Train operators on equipment operation, troubleshooting fundamentals, and safe work practices
Enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including PSM
Participate in HAZOPs, Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and risk assessments
Ensure accuracy of production records, batch documentation, and inventory tracking
Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction, reliability, and quality
Mentor operators and emerging leaders to strengthen the site’s leadership pipeline
Gain exposure to budgeting, planning, and operational strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
3–5 years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of chemical processes, production equipment, troubleshooting, and maintenance principles
