Vice President of Business Development
Pulse Financial Services is a newly established company in its development phase, seeking a Vice President of Business Development. The role involves identifying and assessing new business opportunities, designing entry strategies, and leading key collaborations to drive growth and validation of new business ventures.

Responsibilities
Systematically identify potential new business directions based on company strategy
Analyze industry structure, entry barriers, growth curves, and risk points
Determine which opportunities are suitable for "doing now," and which should be postponed or abandoned
Design entry paths for each selected new business
Define entry points, verification methods, key milestones, and exit mechanisms
Lead the design, negotiation, and implementation of key strategic collaborations
Ensure that the collaborative relationships are structurally beneficial to the company in the long term
Prevent short-term resource exchanges from harming long-term development space
Rapidly validate business viability in the early stages
Once validated, drive rapid resource allocation and scaling
Transform "individual successes" into reproducible methodologies
Work closely with core roles such as the founding team, operations, product, and finance
Translate market and business insights into company-level strategic choices
Provide clear and actionable decision-making recommendations at critical junctures
Identify 1-2 new business directions with validation value
Establish a basic methodology for new business evaluation and decision-making
Form a clear "entry-validation-abandonment" mechanism
At least one new business completes initial market validation
Core cooperation model is established and scalable
Management no longer relies on intuition for new business judgments
New business becomes a clear second growth curve or core complement for the company
New business expansion path is reproducible
The company possesses the ability to continuously incubate new businesses, not just a one-time success
Qualification
Required
20+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or general management
At least one experience participating in new business incubation or expansion from 0 to 1
Can clearly explain why some businesses must be entered early
Can clearly explain why some seemingly attractive opportunities must be rejected
Can make rational and reviewable judgments with incomplete information
Can think alongside the founding team, rather than merely executing predetermined decisions
