Research Analyst

Responsibilities
Conduct and manage research and analysis on a broad range of socio-political, security and economic topics relevant to the research portfolio(s) and project portfolio(s) of assigned responsibility
Provide quality assurance and quality control on research and analysis relevant to the research portfolio(s) and project portfolio(s) of assigned responsibility
Coordinate ad-hoc and/or regular research and analysis products as assigned by Research Portfolio Leads
Monitor open-source media and publicly available information for research and analysis purposes; ability to synthesise relevant key findings
Support the development of high-quality programme material for IN2 projects, assisting programme staff in the collection and delivery of high-quality reports to key stakeholders
Contribute to the facilitation of relationships with new clients and partners
Help promote IN2’s work by drafting communications materials, ad-hoc reports and supporting any other related requests
Line manage, if required, any junior analysts on the assigned research or project portfolio(s)
Provide ad-hoc support to Research Portfolio Leads, Head of Research and Analysis, Head of Hybrid Interventions, and IN2 business development colleagues as required
Qualification
Required
Native Arabic language skills; strong written and spoken English and experience editing English language content
Experience translating and editing Arabic language content
In-depth knowledge of and/or prior experience working on MENA. Specific knowledge of the Levent region advantageous
Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field essential, Master's degree advantageous
Strong academic background in research and analysis; able to critically assess sources and information and apply these skills in a professional setting
Comfortable synthesising research findings in written, visual or verbal form and presenting information clearly to peers and seniors
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment
Ability to adapt to new challenges and curiosity to learn
