Senior Enterprise Engineer

Responsibilities
Supports Information Technology based systems at the company and its affiliated companies while serving as a technical SME and/or resource on various IT projects and tasks
Provides tier 3 level support for enterprise systems
Acts as Project Manager for small projects
Reviews market trends within the CoreCivic space and recommends technology strategies to align with the business initiatives
Develops and maintains the technology roadmaps that drive innovation within the organization for all infrastructure hardware, software and cloud-based technologies to improve the customer experience, efficiency to innovate and excel
Reviews technical designs to ensure that they are consistent with defined architecture principles, standards and best practices
Accountable for the availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability enabled by the designs
Works with business partners to ensure design meets desired outcomes
Collaborates with both IT and business senior leadership to influence budget decisions for technology and business investment
Governs the introduction of new technologies
Reviews, aligns, and drives technology plans with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes
Translates business requirements into technical designs that ensure availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability
Develops and maintains written policies, procedures, standards and best practices using vendor or industry standard sources to build and support CoreCivic Enterprise IT environments
Manages cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines
Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced team members through complex troubleshooting processes and translates very technical information into user terminology for business units
Domestic U.S. travel may be required
Qualification
Required
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related field
Four years of experience in a similar role for a multi-location enterprise organization
Additional related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
Experience supporting various infrastructure technologies within a multi-platform, enterprise environment including but not limited to: Public and Private Cloud Management, Office365 Suite, VMware, Storage and Backup Technologies, Citrix, Cisco UCS Platform, SCCM, Disaster Recovery, Hyper converge technologies, server build, maintenance and support, Active Directory management, installing and supporting operating systems- Windows, Linux etc
Knowledge of IAAS, SAAS, PAAS and DRAAS
Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge of IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment
Ability to collaborate, communicate and coordinate with team members and other organizational groups or customers to ensure the proper design, implementation, support and maintenance of systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
A valid driver's license
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred
MSCE and/or VCP certification
Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS
Nutanix (preferred)
