Tactial Data Analyst Military Operations

Responsibilities
Support the preparation and publication of message standards (communication protocols), including U.S. Joint, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other Allied Information Standards and Technical Operating Procedures for tactical data link (TDL) communication systems, which implement Link 16, Link 22, JREAP, VMF, CMF MADL, CoT and emerging tactical communication standards
Provide technical and administrative support for TDL standard configuration management activities
This support includes editing, recommending changes, and producing evaluations of change proposals which improve or add new capabilities to TDL STDS
Requires performing detailed technical and administrative analysis of proposed changes to the TDL and related standards, providing support for various meetings of technical experts, and providing technical support to government personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or Associate's with 2+ years of related experience)
Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Department of Defense experience (Military or Civilian)
US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes
Clearance Type: Secret
Preferred
BS degree in a technical field
Understanding of configuration management (CM), particularly with regards to military standards and documentation
Operational and/or testing experience with tactical data links and military communications systems, air defense systems, command and control, or air operations
JT-101 (JTIDS 101) and/or JT-102 (Multi-TDL Advanced Joint Interoperability Course (MAJIC)) course certificate is a plus
Joint Interface Control Officer qualification and experience
Experience with analyzing, developing and reviewing technical interface change proposals, evaluations, and comment sheets and analyzing any potential impacts of the change for TDLs
Experience in providing meeting support, producing meeting support packages, keeping record of technical discussions, and supporting the meeting chair with technical and administrative support for the meeting
Project or program experience developing systems which implement Tactical Data Links
Experience working with USMTF and an understanding of MIL-STD-6040 (Message Text Format)
Experience in VMF (Variable Message Format)
