Senior Manager, Category Promotion and Coupon Strategy

Responsibilities
Develop and implement promotional strategies aligned with divisional merchandising goals
Build category-level promotional plans and coupon offer pools to drive engagement and incremental sales
Use data-driven insights to evaluate and approve promotional offers based on projected impact (sales lift, margin improvement, redemption rates)
Establish clear timelines, accountabilities, and project management discipline across teams
Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategy and execution
Monitor performance against category KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
Optimize promotional deals, depth, and frequency to achieve forecasted outcomes
Evaluate coupon programs and refine strategies based on performance metrics
Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure seamless execution
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity through new technologies and processes
Act as a change agent, embracing organizational improvement initiatives
Coach and empower teams to simplify execution for store and field teams
Collaborate with Category Managers and vendors on promotional and coupon strategies
Leverage analytics to influence decisions and optimize promotional impact
Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Master's preferred)
7+ years of experience in retail merchandising and/or marketing programs
Proven ability to influence without authority and lead under pressure
Strong collaboration skills across diverse business functions
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred
10+ years of experience in retail, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals
Demonstrated success managing large teams and multi-million-dollar business units
Expertise in data-driven decision-making and strategic planning
