They are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join their Shared Services Team, responsible for the end-to-end development, integration, and performance optimization of cross-functional applications that power the enterprise ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Backend Development: Design and develop high-performance backend components using Core Java and Spring Boot microservices

API Leadership: Design, implement, and consume RESTful and SOAP-based Web Services

Messaging Integration: Implement reliable asynchronous communication using Kafka, MQ, and/or JMS

Architecture & Design: Propose new component designs and leverage Design Patterns and UML to build scalable software

System Optimization: Conduct performance tuning and application profiling to support high-volume transaction environments

Release & Support: Provide critical support for LLE triage and execution of production releases

Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through rigorous unit testing (JUnit/TestNG) and integration testing frameworks

Qualification

Required

Strong command of Core Java and solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles

Extensive experience with Spring/DI frameworks (Core Spring, Spring Integration, Spring AOP, Spring Boot)

Proven experience with JPA/Hibernate and distributed caching frameworks (e.g., eHCache, WebSphere Extreme Scale)

Hands-on experience with J2EE and familiarity with App Servers/Containers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, or Apache Tomcat)

Deep knowledge of XML processing (JAXB, Stax) and Web Application development (REST/SOAP)

Familiarity with encryption standards and PKI

Ability to create architectural blueprints using UML and industry-standard Design Patterns

Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server)

Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD tools including Jenkins, Maven, OpenShift, and repository managers like Nexus

Experience with JMeter, SOAPUI, DynaTrace, or JProbe for application monitoring and profiling

Experience producing high-transaction volume services and applications

Strong technical communication and presentation skills; ability to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones
