Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions: billing, AR, AP, GL, payroll, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure compliance with FAR, GAAP, and industry standards
Manage internal and external audits as primary point of contact
Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, planning, and risk management
Prepare executive and Board-level financial reporting
Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff
Support project managers with budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and margin analysis
Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and controls
Manage indirect rates and overhead submissions to agencies
Partner with HR and operations on payroll, benefits, and tax compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
12+ years of accounting experience with 5+ in leadership
Background in engineering, architecture, or environmental consulting
Strong FAR, project accounting, and indirect rate expertise
Proven people leadership and operational ownership
Preferred
CPA preferred
