Management Analyst 4

They are seeking a Management Analyst 4 to serve as an information systems data and reporting expert, responsible for building and coordinating data reporting structures that enable management to evaluate departmental operations and ensure data integrity for decision-making.

Responsibilities
Evaluate the department’s incarcerated individual programming and accountability efforts
Monitor, evaluate and plan department operations
Comply with federal and state reporting obligations
Optimize the department’s data utilization/management capabilities
Verify accuracy, consistency and reliability of department data for purposes of policy and decision-making
Provide technical assistance to DOC management and staff in the preparation of reports and use of data
Guide staff in translating complex questions about effectiveness and scope of correctional programs into specific requests for data
Serve as a member of cross-functional teams of DOC staff to jointly ensure integrity and security of data for internal and external use
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of data management, analysis, and reporting experience
A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience
Advanced knowledge of various word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and statistical analysis programs
Advanced knowledge of methods and procedures to design and build complex, relational data management systems
Communication skills (written and verbal) sufficient to inform the public and others about department data and programs and communicate complex concepts and processes to staff
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or closely related field
Advanced knowledge of correctional facility operations that include, but are not limited to: chemical dependency treatment, sex offender treatment, victim services, inspection and enforcement, and information and technology
Advanced knowledge of state and federal reporting requirements
