Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable front-end and back-end services using Angular, React, and Kotlin to power the Mixboard multi-modal canvas
Collaborate closely with research teams to apply Large Language Model and multi-modal techniques, transforming experimental AI solutions into production-ready product features
Lead the design and implementation of agentic applications and advanced AI prompting strategies that intuitively understand user intent to perform creative tasks
Manage high-performance data storage and retrieval through spanner integration and take ownership of deploying, monitoring, and maintaining services in production
Partner with front-end engineers and cross-Product Area teams to define seamless APIs and iterate quickly on "zero-to-one" projects within the Google Labs incubator
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience with software development in TypeScript and Kotlin
3 years of experience designing, building, testing, maintaining, and launching scalable front-end applications
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience with WebGL or similar web-based 3D graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL ES)
Experience programming for 2D graphics
Experience with front-end core technologies such as React
