Lead Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

Size, select, and run calculations to identify the best fit equipment for customers’ applications
Pursue increasing knowledge of our products, industry, markets and competitors
Train technical sales or inside sales representatives on product knowledge, configurator, quoting process, follow-up expectations CRM and sales techniques
Meet and exceed expectations for quote generation, quote followup and response to customer questions/issues commensurate with lead level
Create and process proposals and sales orders in accordance with the company’s best practices
Develop and optimize customer relations through regular sales communications and provide information and training on technical product specifications and application
Expand the company’s customer database using a CRM system
Assist with the resolution of customer issues, problems or complaints
Collaborate with the Field Sales and Warranty teams
Assist engineering team to provide assistance with component drawing processing
Collaborate with custom care and engineering teams on custom quotes to ensure adequate information is provided and responded to quickly
Provide drawing and follow up support as needed
Field survey support when necessary
Own and manage the endtoend new part introduction process, including facilitating new part setup in Sage and coordinating the creation, review, and release of new part drawings
Streamline process for quoting and print creations and approvals
Facility custom designs as required from the customer from concept to delivery
Coordinate with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure on time delivery
Channel production design change requests (Change Orders)
Attend and participate in company meetings
Produce periodic summaries and other reports or lists as requested by management
Fill in for the Customer Care Manager when needed by running daily and weekly sales meetings, producing daily and weekly reporting, reporting out on the Weekly Report Out call to sales progress for the week/month
Perform all other duties as assigned

Required

Must have prompt and regular attendance, a sense of urgency, self-motivation, and discipline
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, popular web browsers and search engines
Experience with CAD is required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred with a minimum of three years of relevant experience; in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree with five or more years of related engineering experience may be accepted
Experience in configured industrial product environments is preferred, with elevator industry experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
Experience Salesforce, Tableau or other analytics platforms preferred
