They are seeking a Tax Senior Analyst to perform operational tasks related to tax documentation and reporting, engage in tax technology initiatives, and liaise with clients and banking staff to resolve tax-related issues.

Responsibilities

Perform daily operational tasks that support the review, validation, and retention of IRS Form W-8/W-9 tax documentation in alignment with the IRS Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)

Engage in annual tax technology initiatives by collecting requirements and conducting user acceptance testing

Fulfil year-end tax reporting duties by issuing IRS Forms 1099/1042s to clients and transmitting the corresponding data files to the IRS

Perform daily analysis of tax withholding and ensure timely deposits to the IRS. Annually, prepare and submit Form 945 and 1042 returns to the regulatory body

Liaise with clients and front-office banking staff, via phone and email, to investigate, resolve, and provide solutions for issues related to tax documentation, withholding, and reporting

Serve as a resource for offshore teams by researching work items and conducting quality assurance checks

Contribute to the updating of written procedures and process maps

Required

Relevant experience in a Tax, Compliance, Accounting, or Operations background

Strong understanding of or willingness to learn and apply the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules/ regulations including: FATCA, Chapter 3/4 and 1099/1042s reporting

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Microsoft Office proficiency - intermediate to advanced
