Projects Sourcing Leader
GE Vernova is seeking a Project Sourcing Leader to lead Services sourcing execution for assigned HDGT Services projects within the EMINA sub-region. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive cost, on-time delivery, and quality compliance throughout project execution while managing supplier relationships and driving cost optimization.

Responsibilities
Analyze sourcing spend for the assigned sub-region; identify critical spend areas and suppliers, and define sourcing actions aligned with the Sub-Region Sourcing Leader and business objectives
Work closely with the Sub-Region Sourcing Leader on ITR sourcing operations, covering the full buying and fulfillment cycle
Lead and execute Flow Parts sourcing scope for PES projects, coordinating with key regional and global stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer, quality, and schedule requirements for PES projects
Proactively engage with Business Operations to identify sourcing demand, project needs, and execution priorities
Partner with PES Project Managers to ensure sourced scope is procured at the best commercial value, meets quality requirements, and ships on time to required need dates
Maintain weekly regional KPI dashboards with the Sub-Region Sourcing Leader; ensure SQDC performance targets are met and prepare monthly Pareto analyses and lagging indicators for MORs
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement tracking mechanisms to optimize processes and resolve execution issues
Drive cost competitiveness for Parts, Engineered Materials, Services, and EPC scope while balancing quality and schedule requirements
Lead issue resolution for externally sourced scope impacting project fulfillment, including contract revisions and supplier escalations, ensuring early cross-functional engagement
Develop and manage supplier relationships with key suppliers, including performance metrics, KPIs, and improvement initiatives
Align sourcing localization activities with the business localization strategy
Monitor industry trends and technology developments to identify supply risks, protect continuity of supply, and leverage emerging opportunities
Support implementation of MSAs and contracts with strategic suppliers in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
Coordinate with Global Strategic Sourcing Leaders and GCL to align regional execution with global sourcing approaches
Leverage analytics and should-cost methodologies to support cost-out and sourcing decisions
Act as sourcing representative during the ITO (R3) phase, ensuring proposals are compliant, competitive, accurately costed, and cover full scope of supply
Lead supplier selection and RFQ execution using ERP and digital tools; manage communication with Sales, Engineering, Project Managers, and suppliers to clarify scope and requirements
Lead commercial negotiations for external sourcing of services and materials for complex project scopes, working with Contracts, Legal, and Insurance teams and securing required approvals per DOA
Coordinate with Sub-Regional ITR teams to ensure supplier payments, PO closures, resolution of AP holds, and payment status updates
Log and obtain approvals for deflation/inflation workflows for all RFQs, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation
Ensure compliance with proposal specifications, schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements
Act as the single sourcing point of contact for assigned projects while working closely with Commercial, Legal, Engineering, Quality, Compliance, EHS, Finance, and Operations teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
At least 5 years of work experience in sourcing and procurement in Power, Oil & Gas and related industries
Very strong organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills
Fluent in Arabic, English and French
Proficient in Smartsheet, MS Office applications like Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
ERP purchasing system experience like Oracle Alpha/Power Max/SAP/Ariba
Strong technical knowledge including reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOM and contractual documents
Ability to effectively and accurately transmit, receive and interpret data through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Advanced knowledge with Sourcing & procurement process in OTR, expertise in preparation of should cost calculation, ability of analytical evaluation of data, contracting, MSA and sourcing tool kit
Excellent ability to build rapport across the organization
Knowledge and capability to use the tools, processes, and best practices for predicting business trends and providing forecasts that drive business decisions and planning
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or supply chain from an accredited university
Financial and business acumen, familiarity with sourcing quality process
Demonstrated program and/or project management skills
Familiarity with different organizations & responsibilities within EPC Construction companies
Demonstrated ability to be effective in a cross-functional, cross-cultural team environment
Experience with Risk and Claim Management
Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees)
