Responsibilities

Reviews correspondence for compliance with agency correspondence directives
Experience providing technical leadership and supervision for subordinate employees to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and projects
Experience developing plans, programs, or training to enhance employee performance or career development
Experience monitoring daily cybersecurity program activities, ensuring timely implementation of technical, operational, and managerial controls to protect the component's IT infrastructure and systems
Experience tracking audit findings to ensure mitigation and conducting comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls to determine their overall effectiveness
Experience collecting information from various sources to monitor network activity and analyze behavior to identify and report events, protecting information, systems, and networks from threats

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
This position requires an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and may be required to file annually
This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TSP) under the civilian drug testing program
This position requires a Top Secret clearance eligibility with Sensitive Compartmented information access, based upon a single scope background investigation
Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards
Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience developing, designing, and implementing information technology networks OR ensuring cyber security compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational cyber activities OR providing technical advisement to programmatic support
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level
