Level 1 VoIP & Network Support Technician (NOT Desktop Support) Dallas, Tx
Vivant is on a mission to eliminate the frustrations of internet, phone, network, and WiFi outages for SMBs. They are seeking a Level 1 VoIP & Network Support Technician to provide first-line technical support, diagnose and resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
Diagnosing and resolving common issues for clients
Ensuring a positive customer experience through clear communication and methodical troubleshooting
Answering client calls and responding to emails to resolve client issues
Troubleshooting network equipment including firewalls, switches, and WiFi devices
Provisioning equipment for new clients and porting phone numbers
Following up on previous support tickets to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner
Accurately documenting customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
Escalating unresolved or advanced issues to other team members
Qualification
Required
Must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
Hands-on telecom experience
Real-world experience supporting VoIP systems
Experience with SIP trunks
Experience with routers and switches
Experience with WiFi networks
Ability to troubleshoot call quality issues
Ability to troubleshoot connectivity problems
Ability to troubleshoot basic network-related incidents in a production environment
Strong foundation in networking
Eager to learn
Ability to follow established troubleshooting processes
Motivated to gain knowledge through training
Demonstrate initiative
Effective communication with customers
Ability to escalate issues appropriately
Experience answering client calls and responding to emails
Experience resolving client issues with internet and phone service
Experience with changes to client PBX
Experience troubleshooting network equipment (firewalls, switches, wifi devices)
Experience provisioning equipment for new clients
Experience porting phone numbers
Experience following up on previous support tickets
Ability to accurately document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
Ability to escalate unresolved or advanced issues to other team members
