Senior Test Analyst

The US House of Representatives is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join their Quality Assurance team within the Legislative Computer Systems division. This role involves designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure software applications meet various requirements, while collaborating with multiple teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests to validate that system requirements and acceptance criteria are met
Build and maintain automated test suites within Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, regression testing, release readiness, and product delivery
Work alongside business analysts, developers, engineers, and other testers to ensure quality standards and testability are met
Analyze and communicate test results, defects, trends, and quality risks to technical and non-technical audiences
Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing across multiple projects
Support the full lifecycle of software delivery, including requirements refinement, development, testing, deployment, and user adoption
Work in a collaborative environment across multiple teams and multiple projects

Required

Seven (7) or more years of experience in an IT-related field, including significant hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and executing automated and manual tests for complex software applications and data-driven systems
Hands-on experience with test automation tools and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess system behavior, identify defects, and evaluate quality and release risks
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate testing results, risks, and impacts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred

Experience with Azure DevOps and modern test automation frameworks
Familiarity with data-driven or integrated enterprise systems
Experience supporting regression testing, release readiness, and quality reporting
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Knowledge of the federal legislative and law-making process
