Financial Management Implementation Project Manager
CGI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Federal Financial Management Implementation Project Manager to lead large-scale transformation initiatives in federal financial systems. The role involves overseeing the implementation of financial management systems, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end implementation of federal financial management systems (e.g., ERP, accounting platforms)
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
Monitor project performance and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients, vendors, and internal teams
Facilitate workshops, status meetings, and executive briefings
Translate complex financial and technical requirements into actionable plans
Ensure solutions comply with federal financial regulations (e.g., OMB, GAAP, FASAB)
Oversee testing, validation, and audit readiness activities
Implement risk mitigation strategies and quality control measures
Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, and change management specialists
Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Prepare project documentation including charters, status reports, and post-implementation reviews
Track KPIs and provide insights to improve future implementations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
10+ years of experience in federal financial management or ERP implementations
Proven track record managing large-scale federal projects
Deep understanding of federal financial processes (budgeting, accounting, reporting)
Experience with financial systems such as Oracle Federal Financials, SAP, Momentum
PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred
Extensive Agile methodology experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities
Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills
