Shop Support / Draftsman - Fluid Process Equipment

SunSource, through its company Ford-Gelatt, supplies industrial process equipment with a focus on adding value. The Shop Support/Draftsman position will support the Rotating Equipment Repair business, providing shop drawings and repair reports while participating in overall repair responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Interpret specifications and customer requirements to create/modify drawings

Create shop drawings from customer-supplied prints

Create shop drawings from conceptual designs

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all CAD work, and maintain electronic database for drawings and job file organization

Design fixtures and jigs to improve repair processes

Prepare end-of-job repair reports for customers

Qualify outside shops and be responsible for making sure quality inspection forms are received

Assist management in associate development/training in relation to shop documentation best practices

Assist with preparing repair quotes

Assist with ordering materials and expediting

Assist with other job management functions as needed
