LEAD SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Responsibilities

You will lead, manage, plan, organize and administer Class I Supply (Subsistence) operations in support of Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) sea frame, embarked aviation detachment and mission package
You will provide support to Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) for all functional and operation tasks associated with acquiring subsistence to the LCS Fleet
You will process Class I orders, receipts, cancellations, returns, redistribution of stock, coordinating deliveries, record keeping, inventory, and customer contact for assigned ships
You will ensure that work assignments of other employees are carried out by distributing and balancing workload
You will complete all cash sale collections and deposits for assigned ships

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
This is a Mission Essential position
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1. Utilize a knowledge of food service afloat procedures and prime vendor requirements to function as a technical authority; 2. Apply new concepts, theories to resolve supply problems not solvable by accepted methods and techniques; 3. Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of food service operations and develop recommendations for improvement of program operations; 4. Support the planning for new or far reaching supply program requirements for new naval weapon systems, Littoral Combat Ships (LCS), utilizing a knowledge of DLA, Navy, and/or prime vendor supply databases and policies/procedures; 5. Provide guidance and support for other supply employees performing subsistence supply support to afloat units
Educational Substitution for specialized experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related
