Electrical/Electronic Engineer II
Trimitron Corp is seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer II to provide hands-on technical support to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific’s Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division. This role involves the installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electronic systems to enable mission-critical Navy navigation and timing capabilities.

Responsibilities
Perform installation of electronic systems, components, and supporting infrastructure for PNT-related equipment
Execute installation tasks including soldering, cable dressing, cable tray routing, conduit work, and connector fabrication/repair
Ensure all installations meet Navy, DoD, and industry standards for safety, quality, and reliability
Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems supporting PNT mission operations
Perform system checkout procedures to verify proper operation, configuration, and performance
Diagnose faults, replace components, and restore systems to full operational capability
Document maintenance actions, test results, and system status in accordance with Government and contractor requirements
Support PNT engineers, technicians, and program staff in the integration and sustainment of navigation and timing systems
Assist with testing, evaluation, and verification of PNT-related electronic components and subsystems
Contribute to system upgrades, modernization efforts, and prototype evaluations
Ensure all work aligns with PNT mission requirements, technical standards, and operational constraints
Apply formal electronics training to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality work
Follow established procedures for handling, installing, and maintaining sensitive electronic equipment
Support continuous improvement of installation and maintenance processes
Qualification
Required
Active Secret security clearance
High School diploma or GED
Formal electronics training from one of the following: Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, Four-year electronics apprentice program
Formal electronics training must include: Installation tasks, Soldering, Cable dressing, Cable tray and conduit work, Making and repairing connectors
Two (2) years of practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout
At least one (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation (may be concurrent with other experience)
Preferred
Experience supporting U.S. Navy systems, shipboard electronics, or navigation equipment
Familiarity with PNT systems, maritime electronics, or NIWC/NAVWAR technical environments
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a technical team
