Electrical Engineer III
AAON, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead the electrical engineering design efforts. The role involves designing electrical systems, overseeing junior engineers, and coordinating project work while maintaining client relations.

Responsibilities
To lead the electrical engineering design efforts:
Design electrical systems including lighting, power, life safety and security systems
Development of calculations for electrical and lighting systems and associated controls
Prepare detailed design schematics and documents. Perform QA/QC of design work
Lead project team and serve as the primary contact for clients
Coordinate work for department
Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers
Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations
Develop the electrical systems of a given project based on Scope of Work and/or client. Provide engineering design, evaluation, planning, and construction administration of power, lighting, and fire alarm systems
Prepare overcurrent protection coordination and short circuit calculations to select and determine AIC ratings of equipment, accordingly
Prepare voltage drop calculations
Write/Edit project specifications
Develop reports/studies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, or equivalent
A minimum of 6 years of experience with extensive background in HVAC systems, industrial power distribution, systems integration including PLC layout and programming
Excellent communication, and time management skills
Prior project management and supervisory experience
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Networking and MS Office
Expertise in variable frequency drives and motor technology
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
Microsoft Office Applications
Professional communication skills, both verbally and in written
Strong mathematical, analytical and overall computer skills
Able to work cooperatively in a team environment
Able to work well with very little directive, carry out assignments and prioritize issues
Organization and multi-tasking skills
Time management skills
Detail oriented
Highly motivated
Communicates effectively in written and spoken form

Lift up to 50lbs
Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours
Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure
Preferred
Revit experience a plus
LEED certification/experience a plus
Experience with Laboratories / Medical Facilities is preferred
