Responsibilities

Lead and maintain the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9000 and ISO 17025, including oversight of calibration, method validation, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive root cause investigations, CAPA activities, KPI tracking, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits
Oversee laboratory safety activities, quality-critical supply procurement, sample intake and retention, and accurate batch record documentation
Train, mentor, and support laboratory staff, quality inspectors, and plant operators on SOPs, GMPs, and GDPs, ensuring proper coverage and compliance across all shifts
Review and approve production batch records, manage material holds and releases, and support investigations related to customer complaints and quality events
Lead and develop the laboratory team, fostering accountability, scientific rigor, and alignment with departmental and organizational goals
Maintain consistent on-site presence, complete required training, and perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 5 to 7+ years of laboratory quality experience, preferably in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical environments
Proven experience managing Laboratory teams and overseeing multiple functional areas
Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 17025, and other relevant quality standards
Experience conducting audits, investigations, and implementing CAPAs
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills
Hands-on problem-solving, analytical, and investigative capabilities
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline is required
