The role involves developing a new React Native application and modernizing existing functionalities while ensuring high-quality software development and collaboration within an agile team environment.

Responsibilities
He will be developing a new React Native application to replace our existing mobile application
He will reimplement and modernize a subset of existing functionality and code, followed by a continuous effort to add features as directed by the business
You will take ownership of major areas of the codebase, including architectural decisions, implementation patterns, and long-term maintainability
He will work with minimal supervision and are expected to propose solutions
We work in an agile environment with short iteration cycles, regular planning and retrospectives, and close collaboration with product and stakeholders to refine requirements and priorities
As a team, we utilize Test Driven Development, code review everything, and collaborate and share knowledge daily through remote-first communication, including asynchronous collaboration, video chat, and screen sharing
You are comfortable working independently, proactively communicating progress, risks, and blockers, and seeking clarity to keep work moving forward
Qualification
Required
5+ years of application development experience
strong working knowledge of JavaScript
strong working knowledge of React
Demonstrated strength in frontend-focused development
genuine interest in building high-quality software
Proven ability to analyze complex problems that span multiple business areas
clarify requirements
develop thoughtful, effective solutions
JavaScript

HTML + CSS
UI/UX (thinking through user stories and proposing/designing solutions)
Experience shipping and maintaining production mobile applications
Familiarity with modern React patterns (hooks, state management)
Experience working with RESTful APIs
Preferred
TypeScript
