Responsibilities

Lead frontend architecture and technical direction for a complex, AI-driven product
Be hands-on in building scalable, high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend technologies
Lead and mentor frontend engineers, setting a high bar for quality, clarity, and ownership
Partner closely with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, polished user experiences
Establish best practices around performance, accessibility, reliability, and maintainability
Translate complex AI workflows into clear, intuitive, and trustworthy interfaces
Drive frontend initiatives end-to-end, from concept to production
Play a key role in hiring and growing the frontend team

Required

5+ years of frontend engineering experience in product-focused environments
Strong, hands-on experience with React (required)
Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend patterns, and state management
Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and cross-browser behavior
Experience leading projects or teams (formally or informally)
A strong product mindset and high standards for UX and polish
Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
Ability and willingness to work onsite in Mountain View

Preferred

Next.js experience is a plus
Experience scaling frontend platforms at early-stage or high-growth startups
Strong UI/UX instincts and experience collaborating closely with designers
Background in AI, automation, developer tools, or enterprise software
