Electrical Engineering Intern
Redwood Materials is focused on localizing a global battery supply chain for energy transition. They are seeking Electrical Engineering interns to support the development of sustainable solutions for lithium-ion battery production.

Responsibilities
Perform electrical assignments with general direction and supervision
Support the development of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications
Assist in the development of design standards and templates for the electrical engineering department
Assist in maintaining electrical equipment tracker through purchasing, delivery, storage, and installation
Perform site visits to document construction progress and ensure compliance with design drawings
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Ability to read electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and electrical circuit schedules
Self-motivated, hands-on mindset, with a willingness to contribute at all levels
A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed
Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards
Must be able to communicate clearly
Split work environment between office and the production facility
Work may involve extended periods of working in the production facility
Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time
Preferred
Passed or planning to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus
Prior internship or work experience at another firm
Familiarity with using REVIT MEP for electrical design
Familiarity with using Navisworks to view and create clash-free design
Proficiency in using Bluebeam to review, add markups, and create sessions
Prior experience or interest in using SKM to perform short-circuit, arc flash, and circuit breaker coordination study
