PAC (Power, Automation & Controls) Technician

Chick-fil-A Supply is a subsidiary focused on food production and distribution services for Chick-fil-A restaurants. The PAC Technician will be responsible for inventory movement, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the Distribution Warehouse, ensuring the operation of critical warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate warehouse systems events either through WMS (Warehouse Management System) or WES (Warehouse Execution System)
Execute and run weekly – monthly reports on equipment performance and deliver to the Power Automation and Controls Engineering Manager
Handle level 1 events and outages either with WMS or WES and escalate to the proper channels
Handle level 1 to 2 event and outages with robotic equipment, plc controls, HMI visualization, instrumentation failures/replacements, motion drive equipment failures/replacements (drives, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
Comfortable troubleshooting code for PLC application in ladder logic, function block or structured text
Comfortable with troubleshooting visualization screens (HMI’s, Thin Clients, etc.) in FTView Studio, Ignition, etc
Work in environments that requires Arc Flash Protection PPE for low voltage environments. Environments will never exceed 480VAC 3 phase- environments
Capable of moving compliant product and non-compliant product in systematic and controlled fashion
Primary point of contact for Warehouse Inventory for the Cold Storage operations, including cycle counts, recalls, inventory reconciliation, etc
Coordinating disaster recovery processes and methods with operations team
Clean Inspection and Lubrication, autonomous maintenance tasks, and preventative maintenance tasks of the automation equipment
Capable of developing a Root Cause Analysis and drive work in systematic and structured form
Capable of working with a diverse team to help drive out losses and improve performances. Cross Disciplinary team includes and is not limited to: Industrial Engineers, Operations Managers, Operator Techs, Maintenance Techs, Foods Safety and Environmental Health and Safety
Possess intimate knowledge of who the customers are and the ability to put others above himself/herself
Demonstrate the ability to value both relationships and results

Required

Strong technical background to help troubleshoot and eliminate tough problems, as well as implement new solutions

Capable of working rotating shifts, and potentially only evening shifts
Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time
Capable of running statistic reports on platforms like Excel
Adept in Microsoft Software Suite
Capable of troubleshooting and eliminating losses by analyzing code that can either be ladder logic or structured text (python, c-shar, etc.), and improving through a structured change management process
Beginner to Intermediate experience programming in ladder logic, function block and structure text in Rockwell Platforms
Beginner to Intermediate experience developing HMI screens in both FTView Machine Edition and Site Edition platforms
Capable of interpreting and analyzing single line diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment electrical prints

Preferred

Associates degree from a technical college with studies focused on: Electrical Power and Controls, Automation Technician, Industrial Systems, Robotics and Industrial Controls Technology, Computer Science
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial and Systems Engineering
Demonstrated experience working in an Industrial, Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment
Beginner to Intermediate understanding of circuit design, derating, and hardware integration
Understanding of both single phase and three phase electrical circuits
Logistics and Supply Chain industry experience in a warehouse environment
Experience working with a Warehouse Management System, ideally Manhattan
Experience working with either a Warehouse Execution System or Warehouse Control Systems
Programming knowledge and experience desired, i.e., Python, LabVIEW, Java, C#, MATLAB, etc
