Senior Programs Manager

Responsibilities

Manage, implement, and execute all Senior Programs, ensuring performance standards are met for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), and Home Delivery Program, among others in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties
Manage, develop, and empower senior programs direct reports to ensure programmatic goals and standards are met
Supervise, implement, and oversee client tracking and billing/reimbursements for all senior program grants and contracts as needed. Must be comfortable with utilizing multiple CRM online systems
Create and roll out additional senior programs, including grocery box programs
Ensure program compliance with the Florida Department of Agriculture, USDA, Alliance for Aging, Florida Department of Elder Affairs, and all other funders
Work closely with the Finance Department with all program reimbursements, providing all programmatic reporting and documentation as needed by program
Collaborate with the Director of Partner Services
Attend all senior-related trainings and meetings to acquire an overall understanding of challenges and needs
Assist the Operations and Allocation departments with the internal coordination of meal box production, ensuring boxes are properly packed and shipped in a timely manner to the appropriate locations
Provide regular, timely, thorough, and accurate reports including spreadsheets, presentations, and narratives, as needed by external and internal parties. This includes preparing for all audits, grant requirements, and internal dashboard information
Maintain all qualifying paperwork for clients and partner sites
Serve as an expert on local, state, federal, and other policies affecting seniors. This includes knowledge of current and proposed legislation impacting this at-risk population
Engage new partners, while coordinating with the Agency Relations department to identify Partner Agencies interested in, and capable of serving seniors
Provide excellent customer service and communication to partner sites and clients, including a timely response to phone calls and e-mails
Serve as liaison between partner sites, government entities, and anyone involved with the implementation of CFSP and senior food distribution programs
Conduct training of new sites, visit existing sites as necessary and ensure partner compliance with all FSF and other policies and procedures
Regularly survey seniors and sites to assess product and program satisfaction and efficacy. This includes the collection and analysis of survey results
Work closely with the Home Delivery Supervisor and Senior Programs Coordinator to ensure well-coordinated program implementation, scheduling, reporting, and service delivery
Represent FSF as necessary at events and meetings
Assist with all other duties as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in nutrition, social work, or other relevant discipline
Minimum two years' programs experience working with vulnerable populations (seniors)
Ability to take initiative and see projects through to completion
Sensitivity to diverse populations with the ability to serve people in a compassionate, patient, friendly, and courteous manner, showing sincere interest in people's concerns
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort and the ability to speak publicly
Ability to ensure policies and guidelines are met in a timely manner
Ability to manage time efficiently and to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to work cooperatively with other team members, volunteers, and site personnel
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and responsibilities, while simultaneously maintaining composure and ensuring excellent customer service
Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
Strong moral compass including the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, including a demonstrated impartiality to certain organizations, agencies, groups, or individuals
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong grammar, spelling, and math skills
Positive attitude, flexibility, and a good sense of humor
Must have access to reliable transportation
Ability to pass a level 2 background check (required)
