Responsibilities
Process receipt of purchase orders (PO) and packing slips (PS) using the computerized ERP system
Ensures specifications, quantity, and quality of orders match PO or PS requirements
Conducts initial product quality inspection; routes material to inspection area as required
Determines best shipping method based on customer needs to include speed, carrier, and any HAZMAT, FRAGILE, or insurance requirements
Prepares items for shipment according to packaging instructions, industry best practices, or carrier requirements
Arranges carrier pick-up and drop-off
Coordinate inbound/outbound shipping for both domestic/international with a variety of transportation companies and carriers, when required
Use shipping portal software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
Manage all documents such as packing slips, bills of lading (BOL), certificates of conformance, return label creation and compliance documentation
Pack/unpack and route materials to appropriate departments, stock locations or shipping
Pull parts from stock and verify accuracy to fulfill packing slip requirements
Assist with periodic and annual cycle counts
Maintain accurate stock levels at all times; notify management if adjustments are required
Proactively monitor inbound report for incoming materials
Work to provide answers regarding the movement or content of orders, including troubleshooting to resolve discrepancies; coordinates closely with buyers, management, and sales to ensure satisfaction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent changes
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Experience with computer software, data entry
Forklift experience- certification can be obtained upon hiring
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent changes
This position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment. If asked and agreed upon, employees must possess a valid California Driver's License and clean driving record

Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually

Physical agility to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height. Any items that weigh more than 50 pounds will require to or more people or a lifting device to move
Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
Preferred
Associates degree or higher or 5 years of relevant work experience, preferred
Recommended to obtain and maintain DOT HazMat, IATA and Lithium-Ion Battery certifications
