Accounting Technician
Portland State University, College of Urban and Public Affairs is seeking an Accounting Technician to provide essential accounting and administrative support. The role involves managing financial transactions, resolving billing issues, and offering customer service related to financial operations.

Responsibilities
Provide crucial accounting and administrative support to PSU departments
Act as a central point of contact for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple systems
Create, review, and verify transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing
Resolve billing and payment issues by addressing discrepancies on invoices and statements
Provide administrative support to the University PCard Program, including reviewing transaction documentation and ensuring compliance
Act as a liaison, providing customer service for all things related to financial transactions
Use strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the university’s financial system to troubleshoot issues and find solutions
Qualification
Required
12 quarter hours (8 semester hours) of Accounting courses AND
An Associates Degree in Accounting; AND
One year of experience that includes entering, compiling and/or reporting financial information; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience with PSU systems such as Banner, OnBase, Payment Works
