Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Dynamics Engineer for the SEMATS3 contract at Eglin AFB, FL. The Aircraft Dynamics Engineer will support the Air Force Seek Eagle Evaluation of Compatibility and Technical Advisory process through modeling and simulation activities, evaluating aircraft/store configurations to determine dynamic response and stability characteristics.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and run computer simulation programs to perform linear, non-linear dynamic and aeroelastic analyses of aircraft structures

Conduct analyses, research data, run and edit computer simulation programs, and write justification to support flight certification recommendations

Participate in airborne weapon systems development, integration, test, and/or evaluation

Plan and monitor flight tests, reduce flight test data, and integrate ground and flight test data to determine dynamic response and aeroelastic stability flight limits

Produce and maintain simulation algorithms and codes developed specifically for aeroelastic simulations

Document analyses and write justifications to support compatibility recommendations
