As an Associate Technical Designer specializing in Swim and Intimates, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into high-quality garments, overseeing the technical development process from prototype to production while ensuring fit, construction, and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Own the Fit: Lead live fittings to evaluate support, comfort, and silhouette. You’ll provide precise fit comments and visual corrections to vendors, focusing on the unique challenges of stretch fabrics

Technical Engineering: Establish and re-evaluate annual blocks. You will make direct fit corrections using CAD and flat patternmaking, ensuring consistency across all size ranges

Precision Tech Packs: Build and maintain detailed Tech Packs, specifically managing complex BOMs (trims, elastics, linings), construction templates, and stretch-based grade rules

Sample Lifecycle: Inspect all samples—from Proto to TOP—ensuring construction integrity, proper stitch tension, and adherence to quality standards

Collaboration: Partner with Design and Development to select appropriate fabrications and trims that meet both aesthetic and cost goals

Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve on new bonding technologies, seam constructions, and consumer trends within the swim and lingerie markets
