Court Operations Specialist (Judicial Assistant for the Honorable Michelle Bartov)
The Oregon Judicial Department serves the public and is seeking a Court Operations Specialist to provide clerical support to the Honorable Michelle Bartov. This role involves maintaining the judge's schedule, preparing court documents, and assisting with courtroom operations.

Responsibilities
Providing moderate-to-complex clerical support to the judge
Fully maintain the judge’s schedule
Organize the assembled materials
Notify parties
Schedule and coordinate court appearances and meetings
Track case status assigned to the judge
Perform data gathering or limited legal research about cases
Assist attorneys and the public regarding all courtroom operations
Prepare and processes a variety of court documents requiring a broad knowledge of court operations and legal terminology and format
Review for accuracy and completeness and scan such documents in the court’s internal software system
Function as the backup court clerk during court proceedings
Help jurors and operate recording equipment
Spend time training and mentoring new staff
Use established policies and procedures to perform work
Ensure statutory requirements are met
Participate in statewide or local committee meetings
Make recommendations regarding future improvements in processes and procedures
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs
Qualification
Required
The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the position
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative tasks in a business or professional environment
Experience using a computer and different applications to accomplish a variety of tasks that involve data entry, looking up accounts or cases, scheduling events in electronic calendars, and updating information
Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances
Skill in writing and reviewing documents for accuracy, content, grammar, and punctuation
Experience working in a courtroom, court system or other legal environment
