Responsibilities
Design and implement low-level and systems software that interfaces directly with hardware, operating systems, and networking layers
Build scalable fleet management systems for provisioning, configuration, updates, health monitoring, and lifecycle management
Develop observability infrastructure including metrics, logs, traces, and health models for large distributed systems
Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence
Debug complex issues across software, OS, and hardware boundaries
Collaborate closely with hardware, platform, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions
Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent depth
Strong background in operating systems concepts including processes, memory, filesystems, scheduling, and networking
Experience building systems that connect software and hardware such as embedded systems, edge computing, robotics, or infrastructure platforms
Proven ability to design and operate large-scale distributed systems
Hands-on experience with fleet management, device orchestration, or infrastructure control planes
Deep understanding of observability including metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and system health at scale
Strong coding skills in systems-oriented languages such as C++, Rust, Go, or Python
Comfortable operating in production environments and responding to real-world failures
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Preferred
Experience with Linux internals or kernel-adjacent work
Background in edge computing, robotics, IoT, or infrastructure platforms
Experience with secure boot, OTA updates, or device identity
Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure such as Kubernetes or control planes
