Responsibilities

Setup, operate and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC machining centers, vertical machining centers, and manual toolroom equipment (Lathes, mills, bandsaws)
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using appropriate CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar)
Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to produce precision components from aluminum extrusions and other materials
Select proper tooling and cutting strategies to maximize efficiency and quality
Aid in the design and fabrication of production related fixturing for CNC equipment
Verify part conformity using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc)
Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on CNC machinery to ensure reliability
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap
Adhere to all company safety procedures, quality standards, and ISO requirements
Performs additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position

Required

High school diploma
Minimum 3 years of hands on CNC machining experience
At least 2 years programming 5-axis CNC equipment
Proficiency in CNC programming software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
Strong understanding of G-code, toolpaths, and machining strategies
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T symbols

Preferred

Technical or trade school certification
Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software
Experience working with aluminum extrusions and precision components
Familiarity with press brakes and metal forming operations
