Responsibilities

Architect and own a Playwright-based automation framework using TypeScript / JavaScript, setting standards and patterns for long-term maintainability
Define cross-browser and cross-environment test strategies (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit)
Embed automated quality gates into Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines
Establish debugging and observability practices using Playwright traces, screenshots, and video
Drive automated coverage for complex, high-risk workflows and API-level testing
Define test data, mocking, and stubbing strategies to ensure reliability and eliminate flakiness (no PHI)
Lead assessment and migration of legacy automation (e.g., WebdriverIO)
Partner with engineering and product leadership to raise the bar on release readiness and system correctness

Required

5–8 years of QA experience with at least 2 years building and maintaining automated test frameworks
Proven experience establishing or significantly evolving automation frameworks, not just extending existing ones
Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
Hands-on experience with Playwright or modern JS-based automation frameworks
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD environments (Jenkins preferred)
Strong API testing fundamentals and understanding of end-to-end system behavior
Comfort operating with autonomy and influencing quality practices in an early-stage environment
