Information Technology Specialist (SYSADM)
Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADM) to support the United States Air Force. The role involves system administration, application software support, and managing IT help desk tickets.

To serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist with responsibilities in system administration and application software, servicing network users with Tier I and Tier II IT tickets and performing functions in support of SAF/SA system requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Knowledge of full range of complex systems software and systems development life cycles, including systems documentation, design development, configuration management cost analysis, systems integration, testing and maintaining network services that support functional requirements
In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, IT Helpdesk support, networks, cybersecurity, software design principles, methods and approaches, and technical writing for creating documentation
Knowledge of network architecture, interrelationships, operating modes, configuration, topology, and protocols
Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of network problems
Ability to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective
Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technology advances and predict how management can meet future requirements
