Controls Engineer - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Complete design of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls systems for new and retrofit equipment to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
Understand, support, and program complete PLC, HMI, network devices and related hardware for new equipment installations
Confer with TTD Leadership, customers, vendors and/or suppliers to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products
Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for manufacturing purposes
Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment and support new program equipment launch activity as it relates to startup, debug, and achieving performance objectives
Use computer-based engineering software and equipment: (PLC and HMI programs, Motion Control programs, PC based programs, CAD based programs)
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications
Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures
Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent field
Previous experience in Controls
Automotive experience

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job
Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds
Ability to work with Microsoft Office
Ability to work with AB PLC and HMI programming software
Ability to work with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming software
Ability to work with Fanuc and Motoman programming languages
Ability to work with Keyence Cameras
Ability to work with Safety Scanners
Ability to work with Weld Controllers (ARO, WTC)
Ability to work with Red Rabbit Process
Ability to work with Poka-yoke
Effective email and electronic communication skills
Ability to work with Digital Multi-meter
Ability to work with Oscilloscope
Ability to work with Network Analyzer
Preferred
4-5 years of Controls experience
3 years experience with Allen-Bradley Processors or equivalent, Fanuc Robotics, Panasonic Robots, KUKA Robots, Motoman, or ABB Robots other devices and/or equipment used in the manufacturing process of an automotive production facility
