The State of Wisconsin's Department of Corrections is focused on public safety and is recruiting for Corrections Communications Operators to work in the Monitoring Center. This role involves operating the Corrections Electronic Monitoring system and providing detailed offender information to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Receive and provide information, directives and messages to stakeholders over phone and electronic communications

Clearly hear and understand words over the phone with distractions, distortions and background noise, with or without accommodation

View and read multiple computer monitors at the same time, with or without accommodations for extended periods of time

Work additional 8-hour shifts as required

Qualification

Required

Education, training, and/or experience working with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook) and utilizing them to create reports, analyze data, and data entry

Education, training, and/or experience interpreting and communicating policies, procedures, and information to various audiences (supervisor, law enforcement, public, etc.)

Excellent customer service, problem solving, and communication skills
