Senior Architect

The California Department of Health Care Access and Information is dedicated to ensuring healthcare access for Californians. The Senior Architect will review seismic compliance plans and oversee the architectural design and construction of healthcare facilities to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

Perform review the seismic compliance plans with the requirements of Assembly Bills and Senate Bills, regulations, and policies
Perform preliminary, triage, normal, expedite, and over-the-counter reviews of submittal documents pertaining to the architectural design and construction of healthcare facilities as required to ensure compliance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations (CCRs) (including all referenced codes and standards there within), the Office’s Policy Intent Notices, Code Application Notices and other applicable codes, guidelines and policies, and other reference materials
Conducts field observations as directed
Maintains current certification with appropriate licensing board

Required

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

Your SOQ must include a description of your experience as an Architect on hospital or healthcare construction projects and how your experience and knowledge prepared you to fulfill the duties of this position
