Responsibilities

Developing scopes of work
Overseeing service contracts and managing outside vendors to streamline service delivery across building categories including (but not limited to) roofing, fire suppression systems, elevators, HVAC, and pest control
Support development of facility and utility operations-related procedures and best practices
Providing technical recommendations for UAF design standards
Facilitating construction drawing reviews
Coordinating walk-throughs with project managers and maintenance staff during project turnover
Coordinate closely with the CMMS administrator and directors to optimize the department’s preventive maintenance program and utilization of the CMMS system
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty
Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least four years experience in facilities maintenance, facility operations, utilities or facility services procurement

Preferred

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications
Experience in higher education facility operations, maintenance, or utilities
Experience in vendor and contract management
Familiarity with FAMIS, UA's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Familiarity with Workday
License or Certificate (see special instructions for submission instructions)
Proof of Veteran Status
