Application Support Engineer
Akkodis is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC. The role involves monitoring and supporting applications to ensure 100% SLA compliance, troubleshooting production issues, and preparing RCA documents.

Responsibilities
Provide application support for critical applications in the Payments space
Monitor and support applications to ensure 100% SLA compliance
Provide on-call support and triage production tickets/issues
Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents for issues
Partner with application teams, CCO, and support teams to resolve issues
Prepare and review Impact Analysis based on issue analysis
Automate daily business-as-usual (BAU) tasks by writing scripts
Support after office hours, at weekends, and stay on call when needed
Identify root causes in code and suggest break-fix activities in the code and/or database
Follow the release management and code deployment process to migrate code changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience in application support, with a focus on critical applications in the Payments space
Strong experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, and Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux scripting and understanding of database terminologies
