Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Work with distributed systems, services, and deployments in production environments
Create and maintain metrics, logging, monitoring, and dashboards
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize issues in live systems within SLA timelines
Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, infrastructure)
Quickly learn new tools, frameworks, and internal systems as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in backend software development
Strong experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures
Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, C++, or Hack
Solid understanding of API design and integration
Experience working with Git and formal code review processes
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience working in large-scale production environments
Background at large tech companies or FAANG-level organizations
Experience with monitoring, dashboards, and analytics systems
Comfort working with ambiguity and learning from documentation
Exposure to AI-adjacent or data-driven systems
