Senior Financial Coordinator
New Mexico Department of Health is seeking a Senior Financial Coordinator who will serve as the NMBHI Cashier, providing excellent customer service to facilities, vendors, clients, and patients. The role involves managing financial transactions related to various accounts and ensuring compliance with established laws and procedures.

Responsibilities
Maintain and balance a cash drawer and petty cash fund, balancing daily. Document financial transactions on a daily log and prepare purchase order for replenishment of funds
Issue receipts and complete deposits within 24 hours of receiving payment
Review fund distributions, invoices, and purchase orders for accuracy and adequacy of supporting documentation
Verify balances in accounts prior to distributing funds
Process and post bi-weekly Patient Work Therapy to patient accounts
Accepts, maintains custody of, and oversees disposition of patients' personal items
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or Equivalency and one (1) year of experience in bill collection, bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance
Must possess a current driver's license
Experience in cash and reconciliation transactions
Knowledge of the SHARE FINANCIAL system
Demonstrated analytical and communication skills
Well organized with an aptitude for administrative management and financial operations
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a heavy volume environment with multiple and diverse groups of clients
Experience in providing excellent customer service
Experience with building strong/productive working relationships
Experience with conflict resolution and interacting with the public
Experience with organizing daily operations and providing feedback to senior management
Preferred
Business or accounting related educational background
Self-motivated and takes a positive and professional approach to their role
