Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor the Fire & Security project teams; set goals, monitor performance, conduct employee review meetings, and schedule formal training. Maintains team utilization goals
Schedule and assign installation and commissioning tasks to the team
Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed according to plans, job specifications, and cost estimates
Maintain and improve planned and booked margins for technical support programs
Direct and supervise the development and use of project plans in monitoring and controlling the execution of work
Review customer feedback and ensure customer retention and account growth goals such as adds, extras, upgrades, and escalations are achieved
Maintain the relationships between sales, engineering, and executions teams so changes and discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delay throughout the estimating and execution phases of projects
Support project profitability through cost-containment procedures and processes
Travel between branch locations as needed (Louisville & Cincinnati)
Reviews plans and specification and performs pre-bid technical cost reviews
Provide backup and support to project managers - acts as project manager for select projects
Ensure team adherence to local, corporate and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Conducts on-site safety audits
Visits construction / job-sites and customer sites on a regular basis to support technicians and meet with customers
First level escalation for after-hours on-call
Facilitates a turnover from project managers to project technicians and provides all necessary project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc
Supports fire alarm permitting process through local AHJ

Required

Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school
2+ years of Experience in engineering or project management
1+ Experience supervising teams; 3+
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
2+ years of Experience with Fire Alarm or Security systems
NICET Level 2 or higher; if not, must be willing to achieve in the first year of employment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred

Familiarity with Bluebeam or equivalent software preferred
