Responsibilities

Provide primary leadership for the Asian American Health Initiative (AAHI) under the Department of Health & Human Services by overseeing program development, implementation, and evaluation; conducting needs assessments and strategic planning; managing budgets; performing policy analysis; and integrating emerging technologies into internal County programs
Additionally, guide workflow improvements and offer best practice recommendations to strengthen the capacity of community organizations

Required

Thorough five (5) years professional experience in leadership overseeing program development, implementation, and evaluation; conducting needs assessments and strategic planning; managing contracts, grants and budgets; and performing policy analysis
Supervisory experience is required for this position assignment
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree
If required by the position of assignment, possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class 'C' (or equivalent) driver's license from the applicant's state of residence

Preferred

Experience in areas of equity and health disparities across racial/ethnic groups with special knowledge of the Asian American community
Experience in leading community-based efforts on health promotion, health education, community engagement, community empowerment, capacity building, and health and social services improvement
Experience in contract and grant administration that includes grant seeking, grant and contract management
Experience in leading community needs and assets assessments and strategic planning
