Dock Expeditor (L.A. LIVE)

Responsibilities

Control truck traffic, dock access and movement of supplies, deliveries, and equipment into and out of the L.A. LIVE loading dock areas
Maintain efficiency of the L.A. LIVE dock operation through coordination with L.A. LIVE security, engineering, third party vendors, tenant and hotel management personnel
Monitor, report and assist with maintaining safety and functionality of all service areas, to include A & B building service corridors, service elevators and foyers, in accordance with directives issued by Dock Master
Must be proactive in inspecting work areas for damage or inefficiencies and reporting to appropriate Manager
Ensure tenants and vendors operate in accordance with all policies pertaining to the loading dock, as issued by L.A. LIVE management

Required

High School Diploma or its equivalency
Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)
Must have two (2) years related work experience
Previous experience in event production and logistics
Ability to communicate effectively in English (in person, on-line and by phone)
Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time of up to 6 hours with or without accommodations
Must be able to lift/carry/pull/push up to 35lbs
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays

Preferred

Experience operating various units of heavy equipment (Boom lift, Scissor lift, Variable Reach lift) preferred
Bilingual in Spanish
