Wage Agency Instructor - Transportation - Civil Engineer
Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service is an internationally recognized leader in emergency response training and workforce training. The Wage Agency Instructor will assist in training within the Transportation Program, focusing on maximizing learner success through effective course instruction and curriculum development.

Responsibilities
Assist in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the Transportation Program
Utilizing knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction
Perform online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or may provide technical assistance in a specialty area
Use a variety of media to present course material
Assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learners’ needs
Maintain their technical competence and skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Four years of experience in roadway design, transportation, and highway safety
One year of adult education and/or training experience
Must hold a PE (Professional Engineer) certification
Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Education/Experience Equivalency: Will consider an associate's degree and six years of experience in roadway design, transportation, and highway safety or a high school diploma/GED and eight years of experience in roadway design, transportation, and highway safety. Must also have one year of adult education and/or training experience
Preferred
Five or more years in transportation and roadway design related discipline
Knowledge of Texas Department of Transportation regulations
Five or more years of adult education and/or training
