The Manager, External Supply Chain will oversee the collaboration and flow of goods and information between external partners and internal teams to ensure compliance and effective supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

Help develop, publish, and maintain the external demand requirements to downstream CDMOs based on the company’s demand forecast

Create Key Performance Indicators of CDMOs

Establish and manage partnerships with external vendors

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Quality, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Regulatory on commercialization and life-cycle management of new/existing products

Help with shipping intermediate drug products from Liquidia manufacturing locations to CDMOs

Work closely with the internal Supply Chain team to understand internal production schedules and conversion to finished goods

Support month-end closure and budget requirements by working with finance to understand issues and how they impact financial results as well as identify root causes and corrective actions

Support CDMO activities and provide comprehensive information about commercial and clinical supplies

Support clinical supply chain with scheduling downstream production at external CDMOs

Assist in CDMO and 3PL inventory cycle counts and reconciliations

Help manage Serialization Systems for downstream traceability, which adheres to Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements

Ensure Finished Goods are released and shipped to 3PL from CDMOs to ensure appropriate inventory levels

Complete inventory movements in company’s ERP systems

Assist with establishing new external supply contracts and ensuring compliance with established contracts

Assist with monthly S&OP

Occasional travel required (<10%)

Qualification

Required

BS degree in life science or technical discipline

At least 10+ years of experience supporting downstream supply chain activities at CDMOs

Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and working knowledge of various operational software systems including ERP software

Understanding of cGMP, GCP, GDP and national transportation requirements for pharmaceutical materials

Preferred

A degree in Supply Chain Management or certification is preferred

Experience or coursework related to logistics, inventory management, or pharmaceuticals is desirable
